PARTNERS
Bryan Russell, R.A. After graduating from Mississippi State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree, he embarked on what has now been over three decades of architectural, professional practice. He became a Registered Architect in 1996. Before moving to Atlanta, he began his career working in Malibu, California on the design of commercial office buildings, small commercial facilities, small retail facilities, country clubs, restaurants, multi-family residential apartments, and residential clubhouses. Because of this diverse background of projects and some moonlight residential work, he found his true passion for residential design. With this new love for residential design, Bryan founded Dencity in 2000 to fulfill his desire to design modern residential homes. Bryan lives in Grant Park with his wife, two dogs, and occasionally his two sons that are currently off to college. When not designing architecture, he enjoys playing tennis, coaching the local high school tennis team, and reading biographies along with fiction crime novels. EMAIL BRYAN
Erica Loesing began working with Dencity in 2006 while completing her Masters in Architecture from the Savannah College of Art & Design. She was later awarded a partnership at the firm. Her love of residential design began as a child, spending time in the homes her dad was building. Having grown up with a contractor for a dad prepared her for bridging the gap between design and build. Thoughtful renovations are her passion, focusing on modernist and midcentury modern homes, involving a layer of preservation alongside renovating for modern living at a variety of scales and budgets. Her projects are achieved through brainstorming and collaborating with the client, collecting ideas and combining them into one holistic experience of the space, and ultimately assuring a space contributes to her clients’ quality of life. Erica is a mentor for Savannah College of Art & Design’s Architecture and Fundamentals programs and is the co-director of the Georgia chapter of DOCOMOMO. She writes about how our spaces are a canvas for living at our highest vibrations at Therapy of Space. Erica lives with her two kids and Italian Greyhound in a midcentury modern home in Atlanta. When not designing spaces or experiences or writing about them, she enjoys being outside and traveling. EMAIL ERICA
Ali Knox, Allied ASID Ali officially joined the Dencity team in early 2019. Since graduating from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2010 she has had the opportunity to work with some award-winning designers and ultimately create her own design firm + shop. She has designed interiors across Georgia with varying styles and aesthetics but always maintained a love of modern design. Her passion of collaborating and designing timeless, holistic spaces brought her to Dencity where her interior focus both complements the architecture and reflects each client’s individual story. Ali’s strength lies in seeing a project through from conception to completion, thoughtfully weaving each client’s unique style into the overall design, making each and every project feel meaningful and personal. On the weekends you can find Ali enjoying the outdoors with her husband and three children at their home outside of Atlanta. EMAIL ALI
